THE ULTIMATE VICTORY

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life."

We can be sincerely wrong in our beliefs if they are anchored in non-objective truths.  The CODE message is anchored in objective, historical truths.  The Gospel of Jesus is not a matter of choice or preference for people to choose or compare with other religions.  If you compare Jesus with Mohammed, Buddha, Tao, Krishna, Yogi, or other religious sages of the world, Jesus is set aside with the claims of His birth and resurrection.  If the resurrection did not occur, then Christ is the greatest fraud that ever lived.  Now, if this resurrection did occur, then CHRIST IS INDEED GOD. One of the clear signs Jesus gave concerning His return was that false 'christs' would deceive many.  One thing is for sure: We live in a world of deception.  False religions and cults are obvious expressions of this fact.  Lifestyles portrayed in the media and the lofty claims of advertisers attempt to give credence to dead-end, self-centered philosophies. There is however, only one right answer: Jesus Christ-THE Way, THE Truth and THE Life.  Watch out that no-one deceives you.  Francis W. Dixon writes "It has been said by scholars that the second coming of Christ is mentioned no less than 1,200 times in the Old Testament and 300 times in the New Testament.  If we read our Bible and believe our Bible, we cannot do other than be certain that our Savior is coming again."

The Messiah will descend from Shem,       Genesis 9, 10

                                                                           Abraham,        Genesis 22:18

                                                                                  Isaac,        Genesis 26:2-4

                                                                                 Jacob,        Genesis 28:14

                                                                                 Judah,        Genesis 49:10

                                                                                  Jesse,        Isaiah 11:1-5

and King David.          2 Samuel 7:11-16

He will be born in the city of

Bethlehem in the county of Ephrata             Micah 5:2

when a bright star appears.           Numbers 24:17

It will be a miraculous, virgin birth.          Isaiah 7:14

                                            The messiah will be unique,

having pre-existed His birth.        Micah 5:2

                                                     He will perform many

miracles: calming the sea        Psalm 107:29

and causing the blind to see,

the deaf to hear, the lame to walk,

and the mute to talk.        Isaiah 35:4-6

He will be referred to in

many ways including: God with us        Isaiah 7:14

                                  wonderful counselor, mighty God,

everlasting Father, and Prince of peace.       Isaiah 9:6

One day He will rule over everything-

all nations will bow down to Him.      Genesis 9,10, 28:14, Psalm 22

                                      The Messiah, however, will come

to save mankind. He will become

                                                              man's sin offering        Isaiah 53

                                     and present himself to Jerusalem

as both the anointed King       Zechariah 9:9

and the Passover lamb.      Isaiah 53

                                         This will occur exactly 173,880

                                                    days after the decree by

                                                 Artaxerxes to rebuild both

Jerusalem and the Temple.       Daniel 9:20-27

                                           So, four days before Passover,

                                                    the Messiah will present

                                      Himself to a rejoicing Jerusalem,

riding on a donkey.      Zechariah 9:9

But then He will suffer greatly.      Isaiah 53

He will be rejected by many,

                                                           including His friends.     Isaiah 53

He will be betrayed by a friend      Psalm 41:9

for thirty pieces of silver.     Zechariah 11:12

Later, that money will be thrown

on the floor of the temple,

eventually going to a potter.    Zechariah 11:13

At His trial, He will not defend

Himself.  He will say nothing      Isaiah 53

                                                 except as required by law.

Israel will reject Him.     Isaiah 8:14

                                                          The Messiah will be

                                                      taken to a mountaintop

                                                   identified by Abraham as

"the Lord will provide."      Genesis 22

There He will be crucified with

                                               His hands and feet pierced.

                                            His enemies will encircle Him,

                                                 mocking Him, and will cast

lots for his clothing.       Psalm 22

He will call to God asking

why He was "forsaken".       Psalm 22

He will be given gall and wine.       Psalm 69:20-22

He will die with thieves.       Isaiah 53

                                                But unlike the thieves, none

of his bones will be broken.

His heart will fail, as indicated

by blood and water spilling out        Psalm 22

when he is pierced with a spear.        Zechariah 12:10

He will be buried in a rich man's grave.        Isaiah 53

In three days he will rise from the dead.        Jonah 1:17,
                                                                                                     Matthew 12:39-40

Jesus, the author of our faith, through whom the universe was created, says "Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will go in and eat with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20).  He also tells us, in John 14:16, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No-one can get to the Father except by me."

WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

"Well,' you ask, 'how would I know?"

Thank God, according to the Bible, not only can you know, but you can choose where you will spend eternity.

Now we all believe -- or at least most claim to believe--in the Bible as God's Word. We believe in eternity and know that life is short. The Bible itself asks, "What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." (James 4:14).

Many claim to believe in heaven and in hell, yet, unfortunately, show little concern over their eternal destiny. We are far more concerned about this life than the next, yet we know that eternity is endless. The Word of God describes eternity as being "for ever and ever" (Revelation 22:5).

Just think...an eternity to be spent forever, either in the perfect paradise called heaven or in the terrible torments of hell. Surely we'll agree that it is just good sense to prepare for eternity now, before it is forever too late. God says, "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).

"Well," you say, "I believe in God, go to church, and live the best I can. What else can I do?"

Now believing in God, attending church, and doing one's best are all admirable; yet, according to the Word of God, the Holy Bible, these cannot get us into heaven. Neither, according to God, can our church membership, baptism, confirmation nor our good deeds attain for us eternal life. But God has provided an answer to the matter of life and death, heaven and hell. It is an answer so simple it is frequently overlooked.

A religious leader named Nicodemus came to Jesus one night for help. Jesus told him, "You must be born again," and expanded this to include all of us by stating quite emphatically, "I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). Pretty dogmatic perhaps, but these are the words of Christ Himself.

Some today, like Nicodemus, will ask, "How can a man be born when he is old? Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" (John 3:4). But Jesus answers, "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit (John 3:6), stating again that one must experience a spiritual rebirth in order to enter heaven-- "You must be born again" (John 3:7).

Now, have you been born again? Have you experienced this spiritual rebirth? This is the one thing, according to the Bible, that will determine your eternal destiny. So, for those who really want to know how to be born again, here is the answer from God's Word.

We must recognize that we are sinners, that we've all violated God's laws. The Bible says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...There is no one righteous, not even one...There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins...If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us...If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives" (Romans 3:23, 10; Ecclesiastes 7:20; I John 1:8, 10).

We must repent of our sins. The Bible says that God "commands all people everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30). Jesus said, "unless you repent, you too will all perish" (Luke 13:3). And it is not so difficult to repent as we pause to think of what our sins have cost God. It was for our sins that God, the Creator and King of this universe, left His home in heaven and came to earth in the Person of Jesus to suffer and bleed and die--that we might be forgiven. "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us" (I John 3:16). Then Jesus rose from the dead, providing his victory over sin and death.

We must receive Christ into our hearts and lives as our Savior. We read in the first chapter of John, speaking of the Lord Jesus, "He was in the world and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:10-12).

The moment we open our hearts to the Lord Jesus and place our complete trust in Him--and Him alone--as our Savior, God promises to forgive our sins, save our soul, and reserve for us a home in heaven. Then, on the authority of the Word of God, we can know where we'll spend eternity. God says, "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life" (I John 5:13). And Jesus promises, "whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life" (John 5:24).

Now, are you willing to settle the matter of your eternal destiny? Will you do it? You can, right this moment. I sincerely hope that you will.

Then, just sign the following indication of your decision and send it to the address below so that we might pray for you and also send you some literature to help you start your new life.

"I am concerned about eternity and am willing now to repent of my sins and receive Jesus Christ as my Savior. I hereby do so, committing unto Him my salvation and eternal destiny." (contact us)
